Everything you need to know about First School
First School is an AI-powered tuition centre for primary school students (P1–P6) in Singapore. We combine advanced AI learning technology with dedicated human facilitators to deliver personalised Maths, English, and Science tuition — plus life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, and critical thinking.
Traditional tuition teaches everyone the same material at the same pace. At First School, AI technology identifies your child's exact knowledge level and builds a personalised learning path — so they never waste time on material they already know, and never miss foundational concepts they need.
Our sessions are structured around cognitive science research on children's attention spans, using short focus blocks with movement breaks. And because our students learn academics more efficiently, they earn time for life skills workshops that most tuition centres don't offer.
First School is a tuition centre. Your child continues attending their regular primary school during the day and comes to First School for after-school tuition sessions, 2–3 times per week. We complement your child's school education — we don't replace it.
We're opening in January 2027, aligned with the start of the Singapore school year. Founding family spots are available now for families who want to invest early and secure their child's place with the strongest benefits and lowest effective cost.
We teach Mathematics, English, and Science — the three core subjects assessed in PSLE. All content is aligned to the MOE syllabus, and upper primary students receive targeted PSLE exam preparation alongside subject mastery.
Because our AI-powered approach delivers academics more efficiently, students earn time for structured workshops in communication and public speaking, teamwork and leadership, critical thinking, financial literacy, grit and growth mindset, and entrepreneurship. These are the skills that academic exams don't measure — but that every career and every life demands.
Sessions are designed around research on children's attention spans. P1–P3 students have 55-minute sessions (three 15-minute focus blocks with 5-minute movement breaks). P4–P6 students have 70-minute sessions (three 20-minute focus blocks with 5-minute breaks). Each block covers one subject, so your child works on all three subjects every visit.
Yes. Our curriculum is fully aligned with the MOE syllabus and PSLE requirements. For upper primary students (P4–P6), we include specific exam technique practice, heuristics training for Maths, and comprehension strategies for English — alongside the core mastery-based learning.
When your child joins, they take a diagnostic assessment that maps their actual knowledge level in each subject — not just their school grade. The AI then builds a personalised learning path, adapting difficulty in real time during every session. Your child must demonstrate 90%+ accuracy on a concept before the system advances them to new material, ensuring genuine mastery rather than surface-level familiarity.
No. Every session has a dedicated human facilitator in the room. The AI handles the personalised instruction and adaptive content, while the facilitator provides motivation, emotional support, troubleshooting, and hands-on guidance. We maintain a student-to-facilitator ratio of approximately 10:1. Your child learns from both the technology and the human.
First School covers all subjects — Maths, English, Science, and life skills workshops — in every 2-hour session. We offer three plans: 1× per week at $500/month, 2× per week at $800/month, and 3× per week at $1,000/month. The more sessions you choose, the lower the per-session cost. There are no separate per-subject charges.
Founding families invest $5,000 (Pioneer) or $10,000 (Visionary) upfront, with 75% returned as tuition credit — effectively covering up to 10 months of tuition while also securing governance rights and guaranteed future enrollment.
We accept students from Primary 1 through Primary 6 (ages 7–12). Since our AI adapts to each child's actual knowledge level, students of any ability can benefit — whether they need to catch up on fundamentals or are ready to accelerate beyond their grade.
Students attend 2 or 3 times per week, depending on your plan. Sessions are held on weekday afternoons after school. We recommend every-other-day scheduling so your child has time for sports, music, and other activities in between.
We're finalising our location and will announce it in late 2026. It will be in a family-friendly neighbourhood near an MRT station for easy access. Founding families will be consulted on location preferences.
You'll receive regular progress reports showing exactly what your child has mastered, where they're progressing, and what they're working on next. You'll also have access to a parent dashboard with real-time data on your child's learning.
Yes. The AI platform is purpose-built for education and does not include open-ended chatbot features. Students work through structured, curated learning content — they cannot browse the internet or interact with generative AI chatbots. All content is age-appropriate and educationally validated. A human facilitator is present at all times.
Our facilitators are trained professionals with experience in education and child development. They undergo specific training on our AI platform so they can effectively support students. All facilitators are vetted and registered with MOE as required for private education institutions in Singapore.
Yes. First School will be fully registered as a private school with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and will hold all required certifications including ACRA business registration, MOE School Registration Certificate, SCDF fire safety clearance, and URA premises approval.
